3 ways you can work from home to supplement your income when you need it (Without starting a full blown business)

Sometimes we have our finances working like clockwork and sometimes we don’t. Unexpected external factors can often take place to throw us off track with our money. Whether it be being laid off, hours being reduced at work, or your current hustle not financially generating what it used to.

When this happens, it can leave you scrambling for solutions amidst the uncertainty and leave you feeling anxious and worried.

If that is the case - It’s time to take your power back. Here are 3 ways you can supplement your income without having to start a full-blown business.

Provide your skills on freelancer sites

The digital age that we live in means there are lots of opportunities to make money online. Due to this, more and more people are turning to freelancing opportunities.
Sites like Fiverr, Upwork, Freeeup and Freelancer make it easy for you to identify what skills you have to offer and create a profile within a day to start offering your services. Think about what skills you have and jot them down on a piece of paper. Whatever comes to mind, just jot it down.

This may sound daunting and you may be thinking “I don’t have any skills that are in demand”.. But here is a list of things freelancers offer that may get your creative juices flowing:
  1. Voiceovers
  2. Proofreading
  3. Customer service (Email, Live Chat, Phone support)
  4. Personal Assistant services (From basic admin to more advanced)
  5. Graphic design Working from Home
You can check out what services are provided on the sites mentioned above to dig deeper and maybe think about what new skills you can learn easily.

The great thing about freelancing is that you can make yourself available when you need the extra cash and switch off your profile when you don’t.

Whilst you are in the position of earning extra income, it would also be a smart idea to start protecting the money you have right now with a contactless card scam blocker wallet.

Scammers found a loophole to swipe money off cards without getting noticed and stole £1.18 million off of contactless cards within 10 months alone. It has now become increasingly important to protect your money from these scammers to avoid unnecessary financial risk.
